PROJECT OVERVIEW
The aim of this project was to design a website for ‘Maz Luxury Hotels’, a fictitious hotel company. The company was looking to create an online booking experience that is simple, accessible and based on a deep understanding of their target users.
I focused specifically on the hotel booking process: how users search for and book hotel rooms online, how they interact with a product. To do this I had to go through the full UX process, the process of designing digital products that focuses on maximising user satisfaction through user research, usability testing, analysis, iterative design, etc.
The end goal was to design and build a clickable prototype that can be tested with users, along with a detailed set of wireframes, that will be handed over to developers.
RESEARCH
I started my project with research, benchmarking and online survey, then I conducted usability tests. I wanted to learn about the users, their behavior, goals, motivations and needs, I wanted to identify and understand the problem in order to solve it and improve the user experience. ANALYSIS
The data was gathered and Affinity Diagram was created in collaboration with the team, details below and here.

PROTOTYPE
Everything detailed in this project has been completed by myself. I am responsible for all research, UX and UI design. I have designed and built a Prototype (Annotations here) of the hotel’s website, where the booking process is fast, easy and intuitive. The project is based on a deep understanding of the user’s needs and expectations.
This is simply a scaled-down version of my product; a simulation which enables you to test my design before website is developed.
